The Bow Seat invited middle and high school students from around the world to participate in an Ocean Awareness Student Contest. They have donated 10 of the winning pieces to be displayed at the Summit. Art is a great medium for reflection on the impact of ocean pollution and is an integral part of our summit.
John Dahlsen, who completed his Ph.D. in environmental art, has dedicated his life to making monumental environmental artwork, including wallworks, art prints, art installations, plastic litter paintings, and more. We will be displaying one of John’s artworks, titled Thongs.
Jeremy Carroll is an artists and professional photographer whose work “translates the issues marine wildlife is facing in regards to marine pollution by creating a human analogy on plastic ingestion and entanglement.” Jeremy is contributing 3 prints from his entanglement series.
